The surgery has a Mental Health Nurse, who will see people over 18 years of age for mental health problems such as low mood, anxiety, depression, bereavement, sleep issues, stress, relationship difficulties recent emotional trauma, domestic stress.

The Health & Social Care Partnership have placed CTAC Nurses within General Practice. CTAC nurses provide services to patients such as, wound care, ear irrigation, B12 injections, removal of sutures. The CTAC is a new service, any NHS Fife Treatment Room Nurses have been incorporated into the CTAC Service Team. 

Healthcare Practitioner and assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood) and blood pressure measurement. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. 

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, patient safety, equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

We have 1 Typist/Receptionists and 2 Receptionists who provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and assist with practice audits.

Community Midwives

The Community Midwife is based at Forth Park Hospital but runs her own antenatal clinic here at the surgery on a Wednesday afternoon between 2pm & 4.30pm . She also provides advice on pre-conception. The midwife can be contacted at the surgery at the above time or you can leave a message at the practice and she’ll contact you when she comes in to do her clinic If you need to contact the midwife out with her clinic day a message can be left for her at Forth Park

Donna Sneddon  - District charge Nurse

The practice has a fully qualified team of District Nurses attached to the Practice. Their duties include visiting housebound patients in their own homes irrespective of age, giving practical assistance and offering professional advice. Each patient’s needs are assessed and the care/treatment is planned accordingly. The District Nurses can be contacted by telephoning 01592 717844 during normal working hours.

Our Health Visitors are based at Randolph Wemyss Memorial Hospital in Buckhaven and can be contacted on 01592 717813.   They are responsible for the care of mothers and babies in the practice until the child reaches 5 years of age.

Physiotherapist based in the practice, with expertise in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions. Book direct with the Practice Reception, no need to see the GP Practitioner for for referral
